Where We're One

Introduction:

A group of three men had come to the diviner to inquire of their future. An old man with gray and shiny beards all over his face, he had made a reputation for himself for revealing people's fate.

To them he said:

"The success of everything in life is a journey and only the one that gets to the destination succeeds"

He told them how their life would play out once they left his home.

"The three of you will begin your journey towards the light once you leave from here; it's a journey of a hundred steps.

However, when you get to the fiftieth step, the three of you would get tired, because you can't see 'the progress'. When this happens each of you would react differently.

The first man:

Drops to the ground and refuses to neither go forward nor go back.

The second man:

Grumbling and in anger starts going back home, giving up on all the progress made.

The third man:

Continues going forward, gets tired a few more times, faces more challenges and finally reaches the hundredth step.

What happened here is that, on the day the second man (moving backwards) got back to step one, the third man (moving forward) celebrated his victory and the first man (static) was still stuck in step fifty.

It's now in your hands to decide which man you'd become because each of you has the potential to be any of the three."

The old man had stopped speaking; that was his own way of predicting the future.
